Now? Not Yet!
Now? Not Yet!
“Can we go swimming now?” said Peanut. “Not yet,” said Moe. “Let’s hike!”
“Now?” said Peanut. “Not yet,” said Moe. “I think I see an owl!”
“Now?” said Peanut. “Not yet,” said Moe. “It’s snack time!”
Now? Not Yet! is an entertaining story of two friends, Peanut and Moe, who are going on a camping trip. Peanut continues to ask if they can go swimming, but Moe isn’t ready yet. He has to have a snack, navigate and set up the tent. Can the two friends come together and learn to overcome their differences? Of course, they can, and the book’s readers will have many laughs along the way.
Gina Perry is an author and artist. She graduated from Syracuse University and spent time working as an animator. This experience shows in her illustrations. Her work is colourful and fun with lots of depth. She uses interesting fonts and pays special attention to detail. There are many conversations that can come from reading this book, and it will make a great addition to the classroom, story time and one-on-one.
Now? Not Yet! is a reminder to children and adults alike that patience is a virtue. Peanut and Moe learn to work together even though they disagree. I can hear children participating in this one. This book is a great addition to anyone’s collection.
