This title is another in the series billed as "A Colouring Adventure in Canadian Themes" and is very similar to other previously published titles, which include Mammals of Canada and Indians of Canada. Peggy Tyrchniewicz, an associate professor in the department of clothing and textiles at the University of Manitoba, has written a brief description of each of the nineteen folk costumes depicted. This one-page write-up includes places where the costume is worn in Canada, styles as seen in Canada, facts, and directions on colouring the costumes. The costumes of men and women originate in a variety of nations including China, England, Germany, India, Korea, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden.
