RAILWAYS IN CANADA: THE IRON LINK
Keith Wilson.
Volume 10 Number 4.
Canada's railway system and operation is traced from its beginnings to the present time. The book is well-illustrated with maps, pictures, and sketches, many of which are authentic. Selected bibliographies of people instrumental in the railroad's existence are included at the back of the book, as well as a list of further suggested readings on the railway. Also at the back is a "For Discussion" section that consists of questions and activities to coincide with each chapter of the book. I would highly recommend this book for Canadian social studies education.
