TENNIS-CHILD'S PLAY
Josef Brabenec.
Volume 10 Number 4.
According to the publisher, "this is your answer to introducing tennis and all other racquet sports… to children-on a limited budget with unlimited possibilities." After several pages of introduction, motivational philosophy, objectives, and skill descriptions, many lesson plans and games are specifically described. Equipment to be used is also described: a wooden paddle, sponge ball, and lots of space indoors or out. Paddle tennis could be a very interesting variation for the elementary school physical education program, and this booklet will be a useful guide for the teacher. Highly recommended for parents and teachers of children ages five to nine.
