GOLF: THE AGONY & THE ECSTASY
Dave More and Eric Nicol.
Volume 11 Number 1.
"At an age when other normal young men were having nocturnal phantasies about the ideal girl, the author was waking up wet with excitement after a dream in which he lifted a fig leaf and found a brand new Titleist." As a sequel to The Joy of Hockey and The Joy of Football, Eric Nicol has turned his sights on the game of golf. This most frustrating of games is a perfect subject matter for one of Nicol's best efforts yet. Only Eric Nicol could liken a golf green to a chastity belt: "five hundred yards of foreplay are frustrated by six inches of failed penetration." The illustrations by Dave More are excellent. Recommended for golfers and humour buffs.
