This kit presents a wide variety of social, political, cultural, and economic events in Canada as well as many related events from the international stage and the United States during the 1960s. Each filmstrip and supporting tape chronicle.s events throughout several years in the decade. The material is presented chronologically with some repetition among the three filmstrips. The content is very detailed and informative and certainly adds to existing historical material in areas that have little or no in-depth coverage. The individual filmstrips and tapes are quite lengthy, and this could be a drawback to sustain interest. The program guide is not a manual in the generally accepted sense, but it does provide a synopsis of content. The kit is good value for the money, but would best be used for enrichment or detailed studies of the 1960s in Canada.
