PROFILES IN CANADIAN LITERATURE 3
Edited by Jeffrey M. Heath.
Volume 11 Number 5.
Jeffrey Heath, an associate professor of English at the University of Toronto, has contributed a third valuable volume to his series on Canadian authors. Each chapter presents an essay discussing the author's work, a chronological outline of the person's life, comments by critics, and a bibliography of publications and of criticism of the writings. While the authors in the series come from all periods of Canadian history and from all areas of the country, this volume has a nice selection of early writers and of French-Canadian authors. High schools offering courses in Canadian literature will consider this volume to be an essential purchase.
