CANADA AND WORLD WAR I
Mead Sound Filmstrips, 1983.
Volume 11 Number 5
This series provides a brief and superficial overview of various aspects of the development of New France. Historical incidents are reported in a factual manner, but there is little integration. The Iroquois are presented as mindless enemies of New France, and no attempt is made to account for Indian hostility to European expansion. The French/English conflict is noted but not discussed. Drawings and pictures complement a rather dull sound track. Recommended with reservations. From the Evaluation Committee of the Board of Education for the City of North York. |
