DON'T CALL ME SUGAR BABY!
Dorothy Harris.
Volume 12 Number 1
Alison, the heroine, is a twelve-year-old who is diagnosed with diabetes. This story tells of Alison's difficulties coming to grips with her treatment and the changes in her life caused by her disease. She whines a lot, but the book does end on a positive note. This book is the history of a medical event more than a story. Assuming that the information about diabetes is correct, it could promote awareness and will be enjoyed by readers who want books about nurses and hospitals.Elizabeth Lockett, Niagara South Board of Education, Wetland, ON. |
