The Last Best West examines the history and growth of the Canadian West. It is well done technically but the treatment is too broad. The teacher's guide provides a brief introduction to the series and some suggestions for follow-up activities. It would be advantageous to the teacher to have the script of the commentary included in the guide. Recommended.
