Ken Osborne is a very energetic, active, and progressive professor in the faculty of education at the University of Manitoba. For some years now, one of his interests has been labour history and the teaching of labour history. This recent addition to the Canadiana Scrapbook series reflects that knowledge and interest.

Other titles in this scrapbook format have been reviewed in previous issues of CM. Osborne's book covers the field of labour and unions from pioneer days to "Technology and the Future of Work." Each page is covered with pictures and relevant excerpts from a variety of sources. The value of these scrapbooks is, I think, as supplementary material to a text or texts and as a resource. (If I may be permitted reviewers' license, a recent issue of the magazine Canada and the World January 1984 with a feature on work, could be used very effectively with this scrapbook.)

Another useful feature is a full-page bibliography that includes government publications, newspapers, periodicals, and books. Most of the latter are recent vintage.
