KIDNAPPED IN THE YUKON

Volume 12 Number 5
Gold, robbery and kidnapping in contemporary Yukon makes an exciting wilderness adventure. A thirteen-year-old boy sleeping overnight on his father's boat is inadvertently kidnapped (while asleep), as the robber makes his get-away in this motor boat. Fleeing Whitehorse for Dawson City, "Mad" Bill Somerville forces the boy to accompany him. But this dangerous journey turns out far differently than either boy or man expect. Well-written, believable, with good characterization and suspense, this little novel is a good purchase. First published in 1968 by Burns & MacEachern. Gerri Young, Fort Nelson, BC. |
