PAST AND PRESENT VEGETATION OF THE FAR NORTHWEST OF CANADA
J. C. Ritchie.
Toronto, University of Toronto Press, c1984.
Volume 12 Number 6
Written by a professor of botany of University of Toronto, this is a very scholarly, technical book, J.C. Ritchie spent over fifteen years doing field and laboratory research in the Northwest, and he has produced a lot of information including maps, charts, graphs, and plates. This book was written for students and scholars of Quaternary science in botany, paleontology, climatology, geology, archaeology, and pedology. It contributes to the understanding of past and present Canadian northern environments. Past and Present Vegetation of the Far Northwest of Canada is an attractive well-bound book, but it is definitely for reference for scholars. Gerri Young, Fort Nelson, BC. |
