This is a collection of thirteen short stories mostly dealing with love, sex and death. I found them interesting reading because they were offbeat, with all kinds of unusual and improbable twists. The stories are all set in the Prairie provinces and deal with some rather unusual events in the lives of various individuals; they seemed to be at least partially autobiographical. The writing is sometimes disjointed, probably intentionally, so as to produce some of the jarring effect that the author seems to be striving for. Because of the maturity of the themes and their treatment, this book is most suitable for adult audiences. This is not great writing, but adults might get a few hours of entertainment out of this collection.
