NORTH WEST FUR COMPANY.
AID International, n.d. Sound Filmstrip. 1-65 frames, colour, $37.50. Includes 1 audio-cassette, program guide.
Volume 13 Number 1
A detailed examination of the North West Fur Company and its role in the development of the fur trade and in the exploration of the Canadian West is combined with a visual portrayal of Fort William, the voyageurs, and the canoes used in the travel of the period. Although the material presented is generally accurate, the use of hyperbole detracts from the authenticity of the work, for examples, "the imperial power of the North West Company" and "the most important in the history of the world."
