Volume 13 Number 2
This is "Lullaby Lady" Pat Carfra's second collection, and by all indications, it should prove every bit as successful as her first, Lullabies & Laughter. * A total of forty-one songs (sixteen lullabies and twenty-five activity songs) are featured, including three in French. Some are well-known, others are original, but almost all can be learned in one or two listenings. Pat Carfra's clear, lilting voice is a pleasure to listen to, whether she is singing alone or accompanied by a guitar or flute. And the songs work, if this reviewer's three-month-old daughter is any judge! She falls asleep quickly to the lullabies and smiles broadly when her mother sings the activity songs. The lyric/tip sheet is very helpful and includes the length and origin of each song. Instructions for activities to be used with the songs on the second side are clear and easy to follow. This is a must for all public and school libraries.
