This is a revised edition of a well-established guide to the rules of parliamentary procedure. It is concise and straightforward yet has sufficient content to solve all except the most convoluted problems which might arise at meetings. The organization of the book is admirable. The table of contents directs the reader to the appropriate chapter, where a series of subheadings makes the needed information easily located. Operating on the premise that the reader is relatively ignorant of the subject, the author provides an introduction that is a model of brevity. The important features of procedures are analysed. These form the basis for the machinery that enables groups of people meeting together to carry out their business efficiently. Both as a primer for beginners and a ready reference for chairmen, members of committees and other participants at meetings, this book is exemplary and must be highly recommended.
