This directory lists educational exchanges offered by Canadian public and private organizations. They are arranged in four groups; Teacher and Administrator Exchanges," "Administrator Visits," "Student Exchanges," and "Student Visits and Special Programs." Under each organization, there is a description of the program, its objective, duration, eligibility, cost, deadline for application, and address from which application forms can be obtained. Exchanges overseas and within Canada are included. A few, such as one sponsored by the Quebec ministry of recreation, fish and game, do not require that participants be students. Of particular interest is a group exchange for handicapped youth and their friends. Sponsored by the Canadian Bureau for International Education, it promotes greater integration and understanding between disabled and non-disabled students. Elementary and secondary schools, as well as public libraries, will find this a very useful guide.
