People use canoes, kayaks, and boats for pleasure. They also use ships for importing and exporting goods. Lakers and ocean freighters carry wheat, coal, and other bulky goods using the oceans, lakes, and canals. Fishing boats, tugs, fire boats, and ferries all have their uses. Almost every type of water craft used to transport goods within Canada and along Canada's coasts are included in the colour photographs. Boats used for defence are not included. Highly recommended.
