PARTY POLITICS IN CANADA.
Edited by Hugh G. Thorburn. 5th ed. Toronto, Prentice-Hall, c1985. 349pp, paper, $13.95, ISBN 0-13-6525-4. CIP
Volume 14 Number 1
Most commonly used in university courses in Canadian politics, this book has limited high school applicability. In this fifth edition the spectrum of articles collected would be of use to an advanced grade 12 Canadian politics or history class. There are twelve articles on an overview of the Canadian party system. two on historical background, three on third parties, and five on regional politics. The writings are sophisticated and as such presume some advance knowledge of Canadian politics.
