WELDING PROCESSES AND PRACTICES: STUDENT'S MANUAL.

Technically I found this manual excellent. The procedures covered are concise and up-to-date in their techniques. A few procedures were missing, such as the oxy-fuel welding of aluminum and white metal and submerged arc, but the value of these processes differs with the instructors. The manual is easy to read; not too technical for the junior student and yet advanced enough for community college students. Welding terms are presented in a way that makes their meaning most obvious. I am sure this manual would be a definite help to students in welding if used along with the text, Welding Processes and Practices (Wiley, 1984). This unfortunately means added expense on a declining supply budget. The manual is written and arranged in a manner closer to my ideal than any other manual on the market today.
