The bulk of each issue of this magazine is devoted to one topic: the April issue focusses on the Young Offenders' Act, the December issue examines common-law relationships, and the January issue deals with pets and pests. Issues are about thirty pages each; black-and-white illustrations (cartoons, drawings, and charts) improve its readability. Colour, one per issue, is used to enhance the magazine's eye appeal. Certain items recur in each issue: "In the News," "Calendar of Events," and "Question and Answer." "In our Library" is an annotated list of publications from England, the United States, as well as Canada, that relate to the topic of the issue. "Audio Visual Resources" and "New Acquisitions" provide brief information on material newly acquired by the Legal Resource Centre. This very useful serial may be purchased singly or by subscription. Alberta college, university, public, and high school libraries will want to consider it seriously. Single issues, such as the one on the Young Offenders Act, are of interest to libraries all across the country. The annotated items, being from England, the United States, as well as Canada, are also of interest to most libraries. Recommended where current law material for the lay person is needed.
