The Beaubiens came to Millardville in 1910 and moved to Bridge River Valley in 1916-17. The daughter of this British Columbia pioneer family has written a loving reminiscence of her family who homesteaded in the Bridge River area. This little book is full of the dangers, hardships, and accomplishments of early Canadian pioneers. Using letters, recollections, and photos, Jeannette Beaubien McNamara has paid tribute to her pioneering family. There are many good black-and-white photos, a bibliography of primary and secondary sources, and an index.
