STARRING QUINCY RUMPEL
Betty Waterton.
Volume 15 Number 2
A lighthearted sequel, this book lacks the fey humour of Quincy Rumpel ¹. In Vancouver, Mr. Rumpel is trying to sell rebounders, Quincy is just another goofy kid going into grade seven, and the rest of the family are coping, more or less. Quincy tries, chapter by chapter, to get on TV, to make a hit with a soccer coach, to design a Hallowe'en costume, to star in the school play, etc., etc. The book is mildly entertaining, but as a sitcom rather than true comedy.
