Because of previous works, Gordon Reid was encouraged and even granted I special permission to explore and photograph Dinosaur Provincial Park. He came to view and explore it as few visitors probably ever will. Much of its environment is extremely sensitive to erosion and so man, the casual hiker, is not permitted to traverse much of its area. There are numerous special trails where one can see many unusual geographical phenomena and observe some large bones of ancient dinosaurs. Most of the precious and delicate diggings are restricted to a few archaeologists. By the use of coloured photos and interviews with some of the residents of the area, the author gives his readers an enjoyable trip through the park, and I for one would really like to visit the park after reading this book.
