For the naturalist planning a family vacation or a school field trip, this map will be a valuable aid. It is a mini textbook in handy road map form. The "map" side gives the reader detailed information about the climate, geology, landforms, coastal regime, soils, water characteristics, and plants of Nova Scotia's various regions. The reverse side provides written descriptions and colour photographs and drawings of various topics including habitats, birds, animals, and plants. Road markings could be clearer and additional camping information might be provided. Otherwise it is a useful and informative source.
