BOX CRAFTS: OVER 5O THINGS TO MAKE AND DO WITH BOXES OF EVERY SIZE. Forte, Imogene. (A Kids' Stuff Book). Toronto, Collins, 1987. 79pp, paper, $4.95, ISBN 0-00-217914-8. (The Tabletop Learning series). CIP
Volume 16 Number 3
This little paperbound book and its companion volume, Crayons & Markers, are part of the "Tabletop Learning Series." They are written for children, with Gayle Harvey's excellent black-and-white line drawings, but they would also be invaluable for parents, teachers or child-care workers. Included are dozens of creative ideas for using boxes of all sizes for children from five to twelve. There are box mobiles, free-standing box sculpture, piggy banks, monster masks, a play house and many more. Worth a dozen "Transformers" in entertainment value. A good index is included as well. Highly recommended.
