Me, Myself and I is the third book in the "Fifth Perception" series. This science fiction series for young readers is different in that, apart from being exciting and entertaining, it encourages young people to consider how the present could affect the future. Me, Myself and I is about Rebecca, who returned from the future a week earlier than when she left—and finds that there are now two of her. How she handles the situation and gets herself back together make an interesting story. Matas also offers several alternate looks into the future—from a violent world to a seemingly utopian one. With adventure, time travel and surprise twists, this book and the series should catch the attention and interest of young readers. I strongly recommend this series for the elementary school library.
