Cook Volume 16 Number 5 1988 September There are four titles in this wildlife series—the two listed above and Birds at My Feeder (Crabtree Publishing. 1987) and Owls (Crabtree Publishing. 1987). If the two listed above are indicative of the series, it would be well worth the money for any children's library. With Glen Loates' marvellous artistry and Bobbie Kalman's easy-to-read prose, it would be difficult to fall. The content appears to be accurate and contains many interesting facts that will keep students absorbed to the end. The complete life cycles of the animals listed may or may not be given, but many unusual or little-known facts that will enhance any student's knowledge and enjoyment of nature are related. The books have a table of contents, glossary and index. In addition, a brief message from the artist should be of interest to the readers. Readers of any age could enjoy this series. Hugh A.
