With its bright colours and large pop-ups, Hot Pursuit is guaranteed to delight young children. The story-line is a simple one and words are kept to a minimum. Hot Pursuit begins with "a gallant knight who was chasing" (turn the page) "a fire-breathing dragon who was chasing" (turn the page) --and so it continues.

But Hot Pursuit is a forward-and-backward pop-up book. Arrows at the bottom of each page show the path to follow from one pursuer to the next. When you reach the end of the book, the arrows lead around the side and to the top of the page.

Turning the book, the reader finds the back of each character's head has become another figure. The chase continues—circular and never ending. The four double-sided pop-ups are sturdily and simply constructed from a heavy-gauge paper with few extraneous pieces to be pulled off by eager little fingers.

Like a bright toy, this book will keep the youngest child interested and entertained.
