This is a splendid activity book. There are a number of different activities, such as word puzzles, mazes, finding the identical animal from a number of drawings (really difficult for the reviewer), finding differences in two pictures, and copying a drawing of an animal. The black-and-white drawings are accurate and the animals look as if they could step off the page. "Nature Notes"—a drawing and a nugget of information-appear throughout the book. Unfortunately, this is not really a library book because the activities demand participation with a pencil. Teacher librarians would find many good ideas for nature activities in the book. This book would be invaluable on a family camping holiday. Some of the activities are suitable for young children and others would challenge adults. Children of all ages should enjoy the activities.
