The editor, Beverley Daurio, has written another book. Justice (Moonstone Press, 1988), from which her excerpt is taken. The reviewer did not find the narrative interesting. The setting and period are generally nebulous; nevertheless, a few of the characters come to Me very vividly. The treatment is extremely imaginative, but the themes are artificially imposed upon a majority of the plots. The mood is sustained throughout the twenty-three entries and the narrative flows quite easily. This work would be discouraging to all but a specialized audience. Due to the graphic sexual terms, I do not feel that this book would be appropriate for use in schools.
