The two filmstrips contain five of the stories and are presented in a compelling style. Laszlo Gal's illustrations are wonderful. The filmstrip also allows us to do a comparative study of various versions of the same story. The kit is a very useful supplement to a fairy-tale unit. Unfortunately, the Gal illustrations are supplemented by inartistic sketches and the narration is neither soft nor supple—a rather jarring contrast to the luscious, lovely Gal visuals.
