Volume 18 Number 4 1990 July At the supermarket Tyya and her father have very different ideas about what is good food. After a wacky romp up and down the aisles, Tyya pushes her own loaded cart up behind her father. He insists, with humour and exaggeration, that she put everything back, stand in one spot and not move. The uproarious situation of Tyya for sale on the store shelf develops as much through adults' actions as Tyya's inaction. Tyya's father solves the crisis with cash, warm hugs and kisses. In Tyya's words, "Daddy, you finally bought something good." Here is Munsch again with a sure favourite for youngsters and their parents. Many good giggles guaranteed at story time.
