This approach to multiculturalism stresses commonalities and experiencing multiculturalism through activities. The book contains a huge variety of activi­ties that originated in many different parts of the world. By combining and sequencing experiences, early childhood educators will lead children to recognize the full range of Canada's multiculturalism. The six chapters are organized by theme, specifically, "Creating the Experience," "Harvest," "Masquerade," "Festival of Light," "New Year" and "Spring." Each chapter is further divided into seven sub-themes: "Setting the Mood," "Music and Movement," "Art," "Discovery," "Group Time," "Food to Share" and "Resources for Educators." Simple diagrams are used to stimulate ideas and create interest. At the price, this book should be on every early childhood educator's bookshelf.
