Based on a simple subject, each book contains delightful photographs of children engaged in the theme activities. The minimal text invites discussion to explore and expand upon the theme. My Dad is especially appealing as it portrays multi-ethnic fathers in non-traditional roles who obviously enjoy playing and working with their children. Toys shows children having fun playing with readily available objects and inexpen�sive toys. Adults and young children should find much to talk about when sharing this series together. Ila D.
