This animated short directed by Kathi and Lee Atkinson was produced with the assistance of the federal department of Communications and the Canada Safety Council. It presents an alien's viewpoint of the effects of drinking and driving on the inhabitants of Earth. Initially, the aliens think that alcohol is necessary to fuel the body in the same way drivers fuel their cars. A little research, however, shows them that the results are very different and very dangerous — that, in fact, drinking and driving are incompatible concepts.

Although the plot is somewhat fuzzy, the information is concrete and pertinent. The film is mildly humorous and would serve as a good discussion starter, especially if used in conjunction with documentary materials. Given the length and the fact that it was sponsored, I do find the price a bit high. Apart from this reservation, I would recommend it as a teaching tool.
