This set of four small board books entitled My Toys, My Food, My Clothes and My House is colourful and easy for little hands to handle. On first perusing these books I questioned whether the pictures were realistic enough for a pre-schooler to recognize. However, after having field-tested the book with a three-year-old, I was reassured. Almost all pictures were named correctly. One that was not identified was the radio. On each page is a colourful illustration of a single object with a single word below. All objects are within the experience of pre-schoolers. The books are extremely well bound to withstand repeated handling by toddlers. These four "Lollypop" books are very appropriate for baby's first books and would be enjoyed by a three-year-old who enjoys "reading" to himself or herself. B.
