THE CANADIAN ENTERTAINERS OF WORLD WAR II
W. Ray Stephens
Reviewed by Irene Gordon
Volume 22 Number 4
W. Ray Stephens, a veteran of World War II as infantryman and military bandsman, has compiled a memoir of the many Canadian groups and individuals who provided entertainment during the war, both in Canada and overseas. The book, in scrapbook format, contains a combination of photographs, reminiscences of participants, and reproductions of documents of the time. It would make a wonderful souvenir for anyone who lived through the period or who has ties to any of the entertainers mentioned. It would, however, be of limited interest to anyone else and is not recommended for school purchase. Not recommended.
