Grandma and Grandpa are part of the "Talk-About Books" series of books for very young children. Through simple text and engaging photographs, the relationships between grandparents and their young grandchildren are explored. These are excellent books for young children. The text and photographs are well chosen. The joy and individuality of these relationships is readily apparent at all times. There is definitely no stereotypical image of grandparents present anywhere in either of these books. As well, the individuals from many cultures portrayed in the photographs in both books enable many children to identify with the subjects. Discussion should emerge naturally from sharing these books. Both Grandma and Grandpa are must-have books in any collection of books for babies or toddlers. They are delightful.
