This attractively laid out book is brimming with fun craft ideas that celebrate horses - at least 15 different ways! From drawing horses and creating horse silhouettes to building a cardboard CD stable and keepsake box, to sewing a jeans bag, a pillow, or a sock horse, Horse Crafts has all the ideas and the steps to complete them. The material lists are simple, and the items are readily available. The instructions are clearly written and well laid out for this age group, and everything is fully illustrated in colour photos and coloured drawings to show each step in detail. The tasks are age appropriate and the results are both achievable and useful.

     Horse Crafts would also be of interest to teens or adults leading craft groups of children and looking for ideas that explore the theme of horses. Although the book never states a bias, this is a book that would mostly appeal to young girls and would have less interest to a boy. However, anyone who enjoys crafts would find much to be excited about with this wonderful book.
