excerpt:
Tips, tricks, and page after page of excellent photos that show movement and position fill this book from cover to cover. Internationally successful freestylers show the novice how to do everything from basic riding, and half pipe tricks to rails and boxes. Each new trick includes the technique used in the take-off, air time, and landing. This is followed by faults, solutions and variations. The rider receives step-by-step instruction and help to solve possible problems. It is all here in a format that will attract young readers, even if they have not considered this sport for themselves. The scenery in the photographs shows magnificent runs from all over the world and riders garbed in the best gear. Xaver Hoffmann, Christophe Schmidt, Jan Micaelis, and Vinzenz Lups, top freestylers, have contributed their best hints and information to this reference. Freestyle Snowboarding, written by Alexander Rottmann and Nici Pederzolli, freestylers with many years of experience, is a well-written, concise manual for the beginner or the more experienced boarder, whether an adolescent or an adult. Highly Recommended. Elaine Fuhr, a retired school teacher, lives in Alberta.
