excerpt:
So begins Welcome to the World, a sweet and simple book designed to be shared with parents and their babies and toddlers. Photographs of babies and toddlers, of various ages and ethnicities, populate the pages of this small book. The sentiment of this book can be described as “sweet”. It is perfect for those wanting to share a quiet, intimate moment with their young ones. Older preschoolers will enjoy looking at the babies, a fascination for many in this age group. The simple design and language make Welcome to the World an ideal addition for new parents and collections that focus on young children. Recommended. Christina Neigel is an instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley’s Library and Information Technology program.
