Babies love babies. The Baby Look board book will certainly draw smiles from tykes and toddlers who will see themselves in the colourful photographic portraits set on bright white backgrounds. The accordion-fold format will spread all the little faces in front of the �reader,' making the viewing experience even more delightful.

      One side of the 12-page book shows each baby close-up, and the other side shows each of the same children engaged in simple baby actions, such as �crawl' and �clap,' with the words describing them printed in lower case.

     Baby Look is the second in a series called "Baby Steps," written by Halifax residents Shanda LaRamee-Jones and Carol McDougall. It has been crafted for babies' early developmental needs and can be used by parents to introduce the habit of reading to children. This parent-child activity will strengthen their emotional bond and stimulate emerging brain connections.

      Parents of a newborn would appreciate a gift of this lovely book.
