Another solution:
The last 4 digits are: 0, 2, 3, 6
The pattern uses digits with a closed loop (C) and without a closed loop (O)
8, 5, 4, 9, 1, 7, 0, 2, 3, 6
C O O C O O C O O C
No explanation was given as to why 0 came before 6 or 2 before 3.
