The six “Pup and Hound” books that make up Pup and Hound’s Big Book of Stories were all originally published between 2004 and 2007 as part of the “Kids Can Read” series. Each of the books was reviewed by CM when it first appeared, and all six of the books received a four star and “Highly Recommended” rating. Pup and Hound’s Big Book of Stories offers excellent value, both in terms of its contents and its price. Cost-conscious libraries (and parents) should note that the price they would pay for purchasing this collection is less than what it would cost them for just one of the “Pup and Hound” titles bought separately in hardcover. A most worthy addition to school and public libraries, and a terrific home purchase. Highly Recommended. Dave Jenkinson, CM’s editor, lives in Winnipeg, MB.
