excerpt:
Barbara Kramers primary-vocabulary level biography of Alexander Graham Bell contains all the ingredients that will attract a young reader to this famous inventor of the telephone. Pages are coloured, text size is large, and pictures and other graphics make this nonfiction book look like a lab table with artifacts in three or four places. The two-page spread titled 7 Cool Facts About Bell expertly reviews the content of this book in seven circles, each with a photo and a concise two-sentence fact. At the end of the volume is a simple quiz to remind students of what the book was teaching them about the inventor of the telephone. Recommended. Robert Groberman is a grade one teacher at Katzie Elementary School in Surrey, BC.
