Little readers love dinosaurs (how do they remember those lengthy names so well?) so what could be better than an interactive book with a guessing game about dinosaur body parts literally �from head to tail�? From the green end papers peopled with dinosaur species to the last pages that offer �Other Awesome Dinosaurs�, this book is full of fun. It includes eight amazing creatures, each introduced by a body part and question, prompting a page turn and a surprise image of the whole beast pictured in collage of paper cutouts and background textures created with Photoshop. This brightly colored book will be read and reread, and like those complex dinosaur names, the details presented will be memorized and gleefully shared with younger siblings. While the kids will have a great time with the game and pictures, they can listen to details in inviting language of how each dinosaur used that particular body part to its advantage: a long, curved crest may have been a horn for communicating, powerful jaws chomped through flesh and bones, a long neck allowed for grazing low plants. In the middle of the book, there�s a different surprise: What dinosaur had wings like this? None! The Pteranodon was really a close cousin to the dinosaurs. Bet most young dino-fanatics already knew that!
