National Child Day Art and Essay Contest - 1997

The Environmental Illness Society of Canada

In honour of National Child Day and The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child

Presents its Second Annual National Art & Essay Contest

This year's theme is: THE ENVIRONMENT-HEALTH CONNECTION:

Things in the environment that can cause environmental illness

We are pleased to announce that the 1997 Honourary Co-Chairs of the EISC's National Child Day Education Program are: Brian Doyle and Ginette Proulx-Weaver.

Their panel of judges also includes the follow favourite children's authors:
Karen Bradford, Jan Andrews, Nancy Vickers and Tim Wynne-Jones.

Submissions are invited from all children up to 18 years. Information about Environmental Illness can be found in the section on EI below or from our website (www.cyberus.ca/~eisc).

Essays are to be double spaced and a maximum of 2 pages.
Submissions must include the entrant's name, age, address, telephone number, grade and the name and address of his/her school.

Entries become the exclusive property of the EISC and will not be returned.

Entries must be postmarked no later than October 18, 1997. National winners will be announced on National Child Day, November 20th, 1997.
