excerpt:

Teddy Bear could hardly wait for Christmas.
He sat with his cat and crossed off
another day on his calendar.
cover Early in December, Teddy, an anthropomorphic Teddy Bear, eagerly awaits the arrival of Christmas. To pass the days, he looks in store windows with his father, builds a snowman, writes to Santa, goes carolling, decorates the Christmas tree, makes Christmas cards, wraps presents, hangs his stocking, watches for Santa's sleigh, and, finally, with Christmas's arrival, opens presents and gives a special present. A continuing thread is Teddy's desire for a yellow airplane which he saw in the toy store.
The 12 pairs of facing pages in this board book utilize a common format - the left hand page carries the brief text while the right is occupied by a full-page illustration. Toddlers who have (or want) their own Teddy Bears will identify with the book's cuddly-looking central character and his calico kitten. A good lap book.

Recommended.
